Several visits, 2023–2024.
In London you walk in any weather. Wet cobbles throw back the light. A red bus crosses the bridge in silhouette. Kegs are stacked by a fire exit. At night, a man crouches to paint a wall. Almost everything is in black and white: the stone, the rain, people seen from behind. Then the red of a façade breaks the frame. I'm not looking for the monument. I'm looking for the moment someone walks past it.
