Praslin, La Digue, Mahé — December 2024.
You come to the Seychelles for the postcard: white sand, turquoise water, pink granite. It exists, I saw it. But what stayed with me is what's left when the light drops and the tourists go home. Kids dragging a board across the sand at low tide, and the dog running after them. A tortoise chewing a leaf, in no hurry. The mist hiding the hillside and its few houses. At Victoria market, fish on the stall and cut flowers. The island at the hour when it stops posing for the camera.
